Ilog kontaminado ng mercury

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines – Positibong kontamido na ng nakakalasong mercury ang Sulong river dito dahil sa umano’y pag-ooperate dito ng mga kompanya ng malilit na minahan. Sa pagsusuri ng Nueva Vizcaya State University’s at UP Natural Science Research Institute, sinabi nitong mataas at nasa boarderline na ang lebel ng mercury sa Sulong river sa Brgy Runruno, Quezon kaya hindi na ligtas kainin ang mga laman-ilog dito.
