Sa pagdating ni Pope Francis ngayon… seguridad ng AFP sa ere ikinasa

MANILA, Philippines – Paliliparin ng Phi­lippine Air Force ang dalawampu’t anim (26) na aircraft kabilang ang MG520 helicopter gunships para magsagawa ng “air mission” kaugnay ng 5 day state visit ni Pope Francis na darating na ngayon (Huwebes) sa bansa.

Si Pope Francis ay bibisita sa bansa mula Enero 15-19 kung saan bantay sarado  sa  42,000 security forces ang  “area of engagements” na tutunguhin ng Sto. Papa.

Ipinaliwanag ni Phi­lippine Air Force (PAF) Spokesman Lt. Col. Enrico Canaya na iba’t-ibang uri ng aircrafts kabilang ang mga S211 trainer jets, MG520 at UH–IH helicopter gunships, helicopter at maging ground base anti-aircraft guns ang kanilang inihanda sa makasaysa­yang event ng papal visit lalo na sa mga “emergency situation”.

Aniya, mahigpit din na babantayan ang mga over flyers  para sa seguridad na Santo Papa at paiiralin din dito ang “no fly zone”.

“But we are exercising prudence in  our judgement kasi we are concerned also of security of populace, we will see to it that there is no collateral damage, but of course we hope that this will not happen, we hope we won’t use these air assets against over­flyers”, pahayag ni Canaya .
