Marantan, 12 pulis kinasuhan ng murder sa Atimonan rubout

MANILA, Philippines - Nagsampa ng kasong multiple murder  ang  Department of  Justice (DOJ) sa Gumaca, Quezon Regional Trial Court laban sa  13 opisyal ng Philippine National Police na pinangungunahan ni Supt. Hansel Marantan kaugnay ng Atimonan rubout noong Enero 6, 2013 sa Atimonan, Quezon.

Batay sa 43 pahinang resolusyon na inaprubahan ni Prosecutor Gene­ral Claro Arellano, bukod kay Marantan ay kasama din sa kinasuhan sina Supt. Ramon Balauag; Chief Insp. Grant Gollod; Sr. Insp. John Paolo Carracedo; Sr. Insp. Timoteo Orig; SPO3 Joselito De Guzman; SPO1 Carlo Cataquiz; SPO1 Arturo Sarmiento; PO3 Eduardo Oronan; PO2 Nelson Indal; PO2 Al Bhazar Jailani; PO1 Wryan Sardea at PO1 Rodel Talento alyas Rodel Tolentino.

Obstruction of justice naman ang isinampa laban kina Police Sr. Insp. John Paolo Carracedo at sa Army officer na si Lt. Rico Tagure.

Inabsuwelto naman ng DoJ sa kasong multiple murder sina Chief Supt. James Andres Melad at mga kawani ng Philippine Army na sina Lt. Col. Monico Abang, Capt. Erwin Macalinao, Lt. Rico Tagure, Corporal Rogelio Tejares, Private First Class Ricky Jay Borja, Private First Class Michael Franco, Private First Class Gil Gallego, Private First Class Melvin Lumalang, Private First Class Alvin Roque Pabon, Private Emergin Barrete at Private Marc Zaldy Docdoc.

Habang absuwelto rin sa obstruction of justice ang mga tauhan ng PNP-Quezon crime laboratory.

Magugunita na na­ma­­tay ang 13 katao na kina­bibilangan ng uma­no’y jueteng lord na si Vic Siman nang harangin ng grupo ni Marantan sa isang check­point sa Ati­monan, Quezon ang dalawang SUV.
