Kalaban hanap ni Pacquiao
MANILA, Philippines — Ikinakasa na ng kampo ni eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao ang susunod na laban nito habang naghihintay sa rematch kay Floyd Mayweather Jr. na nakatakda sa Enero sa susunod na taon.
Ayon kay MP Promotions CEO Jas Mathur, target nitong magkaroon ng laban si Pacquiao bago matapos ang taong ito.
Posibleng exhibition match ito o kaya naman ay isang regular pro fight.
“We’re working on a few different fights right now for him. Presently there’s likely going to be an exhibition that we’re trying to put together in the fourth quarter of this year,” ani Mathur.
Wala pang eksaktong pangalan na tinukoy si Mathur subalit ilang mga boksingero na ang nasa radar nito.
“Nobody is set, no opponent is set in stone yet. We’re still working on that. There’s a possibility of a pro-fight. There is a possibility. That’s there, but nothing is confirmed yet. So there’s nothing that’s been solidified or confirmed at all yet,” ani Mathur.
Kabilang sa mga maugong na pangalan sina Rolly Romero at Ryan Garcia na posibleng makalaban ni Pacquiao.
Si Romero ang reigning WBA welterweight champion habang si Garcia naman ang kasalukuyang WBC welterweight king.
Hindi na tuloy ang rematch nina Pacquiao at Mayweather na gaganapin sana sa Setyembre 19 sa The Sphere sa Las Vegas, Nevada.
Subalit pinaplantsa na ang paglilipat ng date nito sa Enero
