Gazz Angels goodbye muna sa PVL
MANILA, Philippines — Mamamaalam muna ang Petro Gazz Angels sa Premier Volleyball League (PVL) matapos ang pitong taong pagsabak sa liga.
Sariwa pa ang Gazz Angels sa matamis na kampeonato sa katatapos na PVL Reinforced Conference noong nakaraang taon.
Kaya naman nagulatang ang lahat nang magpasya ang pamunuan ng Gazz Angels na magsumite ng leave of absence.
“Petro Gazz announces its decision to take a leave of absence from the Premier Volleyball League (PVL), marking a pause in its competitive participation after seven successful years,” ayon sa statement ng Gazz Angels.
Ang Gazz Angels ang ikalawang winningest team sa liga matapos kumana ng apat na korona kabilang ang dalawa noong nakaraang taon sa All-Filipino Conference at sa Reinforced Conference.
“This decision was made with careful consideration, as volleyball has always been at the core of Petro Gazz’s identity. Over the years, the team built a legacy of excellence—winning four PVL championships, developing national team-caliber athletes, and establishing itself as one of the league’s pillars,” ayon pa sa statement.
Dahil dito, magiging free agent na sina three-time league MVP Brooke Van Sickle, two-time MVP Myla Pablo at two-time Finals MVP MJ Phillips
Kasama na rin sa listahan sina Jules Tolentino, Jonah Sabete, Aiza Maizo-Pontillas, Djanel Cheng, Ranya Musa, Jellie Tempiatura, Nicole Tiamzon at Bang Pineda.
Nauna nang lumipat sina Remy Palma at Chie Saet (Strong Group Athletics), Babylove Barbon (Galeries Tower) at Joy Dacoron na napaulat na hinugot ng Creamline.
“As part of this initiative, Petro Gazz supports the volleyball program of Nxled and other PVL teams by recommending its players, coaches, and staff, guided by its winning culture and core values,” dagdag ng Gazz Angels.
