World Cup qualifiers apektado ng COVID-19
MANILA, Philippines — Ikinukunsidera ng FIFA at ng football governing body ng Asya ang pagpapaliban sa darating na 2020 World Cup qualifiers dahil sa banta ng novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
Ito ang sinabi ng FIFA matapos makipagpulong sa Asian Football Confederation.
“For both FIFA and the AFC, the well-being and health of all individuals involved in football matches remains the highest priority, and as such, a formal proposal to postpone upcoming matches in the Asian FIFA World Cup 2022 and AFC Asian Cup 2023 qualifiers will now be shared with the relevant member associations,” ang official statement ng FIFA.
“FIFA and the AFC will provide an update on these fixtures in the coming days following consultation with the AFC member associations.”
Pag-aaralan din ang women’s Olympic playoff sa pagitan ng China at South Korea at ang AFC Futsal Championship sa Turkmenistan.
Ang susunod na Asian qualifiers para sa 2022 World Cup at 2023 Asian Cup ay nakatakda sa Marso 26 at 31.
