Ramirez natuwa sa Philippine Team

MANILA, Philippines — Mahigpit na yakap ang ibinigay ni Philippine Sports Commission William ‘Butch’ Ramirez kay Carlos Edriel Yulo matapos isabit ang gold medal sa leeg ng gymnast noong Linggo.

Kahapon ay hindi maitago ni Ramirez, ang Chef De Mission ng Team Phi-lippines, ang kanyang kasiyahan sa patuloy na paghakot ng mga Pinoy athletes ng gold medal sa 30th Southeast Asian Games.

“After almost three days of intense competitions, and with Team Phi-lippines performing magnificently in the face of world-class foes, I would like to send my message of congratulations to all who fought valiantly to uphold national pride,” wika ni Ramirez. “You are all winners to us!”

Nalampasan na ng Pi-lipinas ang nakolektang 23 gintong medalya sa nakaraang edisyon ng SEA Games noong 2017 sa Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

At habang nagdaraan ang mga araw ay lalo pang nananalasa sa kanilang mga sports events ang mga national athletes.

“We are riding on this positive wave and continue to hope that we can sustain this good performance,” wika ni Ramirez na sa kanyang pagiging Chef De Mission noong 2005 ay nakamit ng Pilipinas ang overall championship.

“We still have many days of battle ahead of us, but I remain steadfast in my belief in our national team. I know that they are intent on delivering pride and honor for the country,” wika ng PSC chief.

Muling hiniling ng PSC Chief sa samba-yanang Filipino ang suporta sa mga atleta para  tumaas ang morale nila sa pagsabak sa laban.

“I again enjoin eve-ry Filipino, wherever you are in the world, let us all rally behind our national team. Let us continue to support and pray for their continued success!”
