Gilas vs Lebanon pamilyar si Baldwin sa kalaban

CHANGSHA – Pamilyar na si Gilas Pilipinas coach Tab Baldwin sa koponan ng Lebanon at alam niya kung sinu-sino at ano ang kayang gawin ng isang player nito.

Ito ay dahil siya ang gumiya sa Lebanon sa ika-20 puwesto sa kabuuang 24 koponan noong 2010 World Championship sa Turkey.

“They have players who can shoot very well. They’re a good transition team. We know they’ve got a good overall size though they aren’t a big team,” wika ni Baldwin.

Tinukoy niya sina Jean Abdelnour at Rodrigue Akl bilang mga key players na naglaro sa Turkey na kasalukuyan pa ring mi-yembro ng Lebanese squad.

“They battle hard. The Lebanese team always battles so you know this is a team that can have a really good game. They can put a real good game together,” sabi ni Baldwin.

Sa likod ni Baldwin, tinalo ng Lebanese ang Canada, 81-71, bago natalo sa France, 59-86; New Zealand, 76-108; Spain, 57-91 at Lithuania, 66-84 noong 2010 World Cup.

Nagtala sina El-Khatib, Vroman at Fahed ng averages na 15.4 points, 14.8 points at 11.8 points, ayon sa pagkakasunod sa naturang torneo.
