Roi Sumang 2 years sa Globalport
“He was a steal, a good steal, so we decided to sign him,” wika ni Romero kay Sumang na pupunan ang naiwang puwesto ni Palestinian Omar Krayem.
Sina Sumang at Yeo ay makikihati ng playing time kina Gilas Pilipinas pool member Terrence Romeo at 2014 No. 1 pick Stanley Pringle.
“We were told that we’re the most exciting team to watch last season because of our run-and-gun, gung-ho style of basketball,” sabi ni Romero. “For next season, we added a ‘Ninja’ and a ‘Daredevil’ to add to the team’s exciting style of play, plus veteran big guys that we need to finish the game,” dagdag pa nito.
“Getting Roi Sumang in the third round was a blessing, signing him for the team is a destiny for both Roi and for Globalport. Roi will play a vital role for the team’s core rotation,” wika ni team manager Bonnie Tan.
Kinuha rin ng Globalport sa fourth round ang 27-gulang na Fil-Am na si Ryan Wetherel na lumaro sa University of Southern California sa US NCAA Division I.
