Walang advantage si Pacquiao sa Macau
MANILA, Philippines - Hindi porke sa Macau, China gagawin ang laban nina Manny Pacquiao at American challenger Chris Algieri ay makakakuha na si ‘Pacman’ ng tinatawag na ‘hometown decision’ sakaling walang mangyaring knockout.
Ito ang nilinaw ni Bob Arum ng Top Rank Promotions kaugnay sa banggaan ng 5-foot-6 na si Pacquiao at ng 5’10 na si Algieri sa Nobyembre 23 sa The Venetian sa Macau.
“You have to understand, if a fighter was fighting in America, and he was Mexican, would you say that the American judges would favor him because they come from the same continent? And the answer is ‘no’,” wika ni Arum.
“Manny Pacquiao is a Filipino and most of the people at the fight will be Chinese, whether they are from Hong Kong or mainland China. To think that someone would favor a Filipino over a US guy is to not understand the geo-political nature of different countries,” dagdag pa ng promoter.
Ito ang ikalawang pagkakataon na lalaban ang Sarangani Congressman sa Macau matapos bugbugin si Brandon ‘Bam Bam’ Rios sa loob ng 12 rounds noong Nobyembre ng 2013.
Nakakuha si Pacquiao ng unanimous decision win kontra kay Rios.
