MANILA, Philippines - Hindi man ganoong kadominante, sapat naman ang puwersang ipinamamalas ni Alfred Agora para itulak ang National University Bulldogs sa unang puwesto sa 77th UAAP men’s basketball.

Masasabing kagulat-gulat ang 5-1 karta ng Bulldogs dahil wala na ang dating two-time UAAP MVP Bobby Ray Parks Jr. Ngunit maganda ang pagtutulungan ng mga locals habang ang 6’7” na si Aroga ang siyang nagsisilbing pundasyon sa opensa at depensa ng tropa ni coach Eric Altamirano.

Sa dalawang laro na naipanalo ng NU sa nagdaang linggong aksyon laban sa Adamson Falcons (62-25) at UE Red Warriors, 57-55, si Aroga ay naghatid ng 12 puntos, 12.5 rebounds, 3.5 blocks at 2.5 assists para kilalanin din bilang UAAP Press Corps-Accel Quantum Plus/316 Player of the Week na suportado rin ng Bactigel hand sanitizer, Doctor J Mighty Alcohol at Mighty Mom Anti-bacteria.

“We’re just playing as a team and we don’t care about our stags. We just care about helping each other to get better,” wika ni Aroga.

Sa laro laban sa Warriors, may 18 puntos, 15 rebounds at isang block si Aroga. Siya rin ang nagtiyak ng panalo nang sabayan ang umatakeng si Roi Sumang para kailanganin ng UE player na ibitin ang lay-up na sumablay.

Tinalo ni Aroga sa lingguhang citation si Ateneo Eagles guard Kiefer Ravena at FEU Tamaraws forward Mark Belo.
