Amit kasama sa Team Asia sa Queens Cup 10-Ball
MANILA, Philippines - Napili si dating world 10-ball champion Rubilen Amit sa elite Team Asia para sa unang Queens Cup – isang 10-ball event na magtatampok sa Asia kontra sa mga billiards players mula sa Europe at US – sa Nobyembre 5-7 sa Resorts World Manila.
Makakasama si Amit sa grupo ni Asia captain Ga Young Kim ng South Korea sa kanilang pagharap sa Team West na binabanderahan nina Kelly Fisher ng England at Jasmin Ouschan ng Austria.
Dalawa pang players sa bawat grupo ang papangalanan sa mga susunod na linggo.
Ang East vs West pool showdown ay itinatagu-yod ng Dragon Promotions katuwang ang Min Table of Korea bilang official table na gagamitin sa lahat ng televised matches.
“When I first heard about the Queens Cup, my first thought was ‘genius’. I loved the idea of having a Ryder Cup type of tournament for women. Surely, this is going to be an exciting event to look forward to for everyone,†sabi ni Amit, isang gold, silver at bronze medalist sa World Championships history.
“I feel honored to be part of the elite team representing Asia. I am committing myself to doubling my efforts in practice to prepare for this,†dagdag pa nito.
