Laban ni Bradley kay Marquez hindi pa malinaw

MANILA, Philippines - Walang katotohanan na itataya ni Timothy Bradley, Jr. ang kanyang suot na WBO welterweight crown laban kay Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez.

Ito ang pahayag ni Cameron Dunkin, ang manager ni Bradley, ukol sa ulat ng ESPN Deportes na magde­depensa ng kanyang titulo ang American fighter kon­tra kay Marquez sa Setyembre 14 sa Las Vegas, Neva­da.

“We don’t know anything about it, I don’t know any­thing about it. I know Monica (asawa ni Bradley) and Tim don’t know anything about it,” wika ni Dunkin sa isang panayam ng MyDesert.com kaha­pon.

Iniulat ng ESPN Deportes na hahamunin ng 39-anyos na si Marquez (55-6-1, 40 KOs) ang 30-anyos na si Bradley (30-0-0, 12 KOs) para sa hawak nitong WBO title.

Ang naturang titulo ang inagaw ni Bradley kay Man­ny Pacquiao via split decision noong Hunyo 9, 2012.

Matapos ito, pinatumba naman ni Marquez ang 34-anyos na Filipino world eight-division champion sa sixth round sa kanilang ikaapat na paghaharap no­ong Disyembre 8.

Nagparamdam ang Top Rank Promotions na ita­takda ang laban nina Bradley at Marquez nang mag­pa­labas ng litrato ng dalawa sa Brandon Rios-Mike Al­varado fight noong Marso.

Kung matutuloy ang laban kay Marquez, sinabi ni Joel Diaz, ang trainer ni Bradley, na isa itong magandang laban.

“That is going to be a very tough fight as you saw Marquez’s fight,” ani Diaz. “For us it is going to have to be a technical fight.”   

Matagumpay na naidepensa ni Bradley ang koro­na via unanimous decision laban kay Russian challen­ger Ruslan Provodnikov noong Marso sa Home Depot Center.
