MANILA, Philippines — Three people were arrested in separate operations in Metro Manila on Friday for allegedly carrying P6.3 million worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu.

Farida Macmod, 30, was arrested for allegedly carrying over 700 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride valued at P4.7 million at the corner of Soler street and Rizal Avenue in Manila at around 1:30 p.m., according to the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).

Ricardo del Mundo, 21, was apprehended during a sting in Barangay Bahay Toro, Quezon City at around 10:30 p.m.

He was allegedly caught with 240 grams of shabu with a street value of P1.63 million.

Del Mundo is being held on a charge of drug trafficking filed before the office of the city prosecutor.

In Caloocan, police seized 7.9 grams of shabu valued at P53,720 from a man, identified only as Lolo, who was apprehended by police for walking half-naked along a street in Barangay 8 at around 11:20 p.m on Friday.

Ian Formaran and Jasper Gallardo, both aged 22, were arrested in a sting in Quezon City, also on Friday.

NCRPO chief Maj. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. reported that the suspects were reportedly found to be carrying 120 grams of marijuana valued at P14,400 in Barangay Payatas at around 5:40 a.m.
