Pinoyliga Cup nagsisilbing pundasyon

MANILA, Philippines — Bukod sa pagbibigay ng platform para sa mga top college players, nag-aalok din ang Pinoyliga Cup ng pagkakataon para sa mga second at third ‘stringers’ o mga players na gustong mapasama sa Team A ng kanilang mga collegiate teams.

Ito ang konsepto ng Pinoyliga Cup na nagsimula sa Next Man Cup noong 2022 matapos ang paglulunsad ng Collegiate Cup, ayon kay tournament director Benny Benitez.

“This is our third season already. This is our tournament for Team B. There has to be a refresh for the concept, this is where we – Pinoyliga – come in,” ani Benitez kahapon sa Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Forum sa conference hall ng Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.

Ang kasalukuyang torneo ng Pinoyliga ay ang Alumni Cup at Juniors Cup kung saan nangunguna ang NCAA junior’s champion Letran Squires at UAAP junior’s titlist Adamson Baby Falcons.
