CEBU, Philippines — Five ARQ Stable fighters will strut their wares in Omega Boxing’s “Kumbati 15” card marking the start of a historic collaboration between the two biggest promotional outfits in Cebu slated on October 28 at the Tuburan Sports Complex in Tuburan, Cebu.
The undefeated Ramil Macado (7-0, 3KOs), Berland Robles (9-0, 4KOs), Ian Paul Abne (9-0, 4KOs), and Riel Gabunilas (2-0) together with Rodel Wenceslao (19-19-2, 8KOs) form part of the nine-bout show that is the first joint venture of ARQ Sports headed by Jason Arquisola and Omega Boxing led by Pio Paulo Castillo.
Macado, one of ARQ’s best prospects to become a world champion in the future, will slug it out with veteran journeyman Mike Kinaadman (8-21-2, 6KOs) in a six-rounder flyweight match, while Robles will trade punches with the veteran Renoel Pael (23-14-1, 12KOs) in another 112-pound duel scheduled for eight rounds.
Ian Abne, the younger brother of OPBF Silver flyweight champion April Jay “Astroboy” Abne will clash with Jeven Villacite (6-5-5) in a 10-rounder under the minimumweight class, while Wenceslao will tackle Ryan Maano (6-17-2, 2KOs) in a showdown of welterweight set for eight rounds.
Gabunilas, another ARQ minimumweight prospect, will square off against Rustom Sario (2-2) for six rounds.
Also featured in the action-packed show are Omega Gym’s Benny Canete, Mark Vicelles, Ramil Roda, and Japanese Kakeru Mashimo against separate foes.
