29-women’s pool ng Filipinas sa World Cup inilabas na

MANILA, Philippines — Babanderahan nina Sarina Bolden at co-captains Hali Long at Tahnai Annis ang 29-woman pool ng Philippine women’s football team para sa 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Sa nasabing national pool kukunin ang final 23 pla­yers ng Filipinas na sasalang sa training camp sa Western Sydney Wanderers Complex sa Australia.

Nasa grupo rin si defender Angela Beard, ang ina ay tubong Cebu, na naglalaro para sa Western United team sa Australian A-League Women at kumatawan sa Pinas noong 2021.

Ang iba pang nasa pool ay sina goalkeepers Kiara Fontanolla, Kaiya Jota, Olivia McDaniel at Inna Palacios, defenders Maya Alcantara, Alicia Barker, Raina Bonta, Malea Cesar, Jessika Cowart, Sofia Harrison at Dominique Randle.

Kasama rin sina midfielders Ryley Bugay, Anicka Castaneda, Sara Eggesvik, Kaya Hawkinson, Eva Madarang, Jessica Miclat, Isabela Pasion, Quinley Quezada at Jaclyn Sawicki at forwards Isabella Flanigan, Carleigh Frilles, Katrina Guillou, Chandler McDaniel at Meryll Serrano

Umakyat sa No. 46 ang Filipinas mula sa No. 49 sa pinakabagong FIFA rankings.

Kasama ng Pinas sa Group A ng FIFA Women’s World Cup ang Norway (No. 12), Switzerland (No. 20) at host nation New Zealand (No. 25).
