MANILA, Philippines — Nakipagkasundo ang Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) sa Japan Volleyball Association (JVA) para sa isang Training Exchange Program.
Sinelyuhan nina PNVF president Ramon “Tats” Suzara at JVA head Shunichi Kawai ang kanilang kasunduan sa JVA headquarters sa Tokyo.
Kasama sa nasabing exchange program ang mga national indoor at beach volleyball teams ng dalawang bansa.
“It is an honor and a privilege to be working alongside such strong federation with a grand tradition and rich history in the sport,” wika ni Suzara kasama sina PNVF executive director Marie Louise Principe at executive assistant Antonio Carlos Jr.
“This collaborative partnership of PNVF with JVA helps underline the FIVB’s initiatives under its Empowerment Commission, to strengthen national training programs of different federations through knowledge transfer and sharing of best practices,” dagdag ni Suzara na iniluklok ng International Volleyball Federation or FIVB bilang secretary ng kanilang Empowerment Commission.
Sa ilalim ng program ay darating sa bansa ang Japanese men’s volleyball team bago ang Volleyball Nations League sa Hunyo para sa isang friendly exhibition matches sa national squad at magkakaroon din ang Japanese national beach volleyball teams ng isang winter training camp sa Club Laiya sa Batangas sa Enero at Pebrero.
Magdaraos naman ng training camps ang Philippine indoor squads sa mga Japanese university o club teams sa Abril, habang ang beach volleyball teams ay magsasanay sa Japanese national volleyball training center sa Toyota Center sa Hekinan City sa Aichi Prefecture sa Pebrero at Marso.
