MANILA, Philippines — Ibabahagi nina Meggie Ochoa ng jiujitsu at Pauline Lopez ng taekwondo ang kanilang sekreto sa 2020 National Sports Summit (NSS) sa Philippine Interna­tional Convention Center (PICC) sa Pebrero 27-28.

Ang 29-anyos na si Ochoa ay tatlong beses nagreyna sa jiujitsu world championship ng jiujitsu at gold medalist sa women’s 45-kg category sa nakali­pas na 30th Southeast Asian Games.

Si Ochoa ang nagtayo sa ‘Fight to Protect’ movement na naglalayon na pro­tektahan ang mga ka­ba­taan kontra sa sexual abuse.

Isa si Ochoa sa itinanghal na ‘50 Greatest Filipino Athletes of All Time.’

“It is a huge honor and privilege to be able to speak in such a momentous event. I do not feel worthy to speak in such an event, but given this one of a kind opportunity, I will make the most of it and do my best. Overall, I am just grateful,” pa­hayag ni Ochoa.

Ibubunyag naman ng 22-anyos na si Lopez, isa ring gold medalist sa wo­men’s 57-kg division ng taekwondo noong 2019 SEA Games, ang kanyang karanasan patungo sa tagumpay.

Bukod kina Ochoa at Lopez, ang iba pang sports specialists at educators sa dalawang araw na lecture-workshops ay sina T.J. Rosandich, ang Presidente at CEO ng United States Sports Academy (USSA) at dating Philippine Olympic Committee president Dr. Celso Dayrit, ang Chairman ng 2019 Southeast Asian Games Executive Committee.
