MANILA, Philippines — May 19 tankers ang ginawaran ng Most Outstanding Swimmer (MOS) awards sa Class A ng 166th Philippine Swimming League (PSL) National Series na ginanap sa Diliman Preparatory School swimming pool sa Quezon City.
Nanguna sina Marc Bryan Dula ng Masville National High School, Trump Luistro ng Hope Christian School-Legazpi, Aishel Cid Evangelista ng Manila Christian School at Albert Sermonia II ng Diliman Preparatory School na nakahirit ng MOS sa kani-kaniyang dibisyon.
Humakot si Dula ng 140 puntos mula sa pitong gintong medalya para angkinin ang MOS sa boys’ 12-year habang nakalikom si Luistro ng 100 puntos para mangibabaw sa boys’ 11-year.
Naka-pitong ginto rin si Evangelista para makuha naman ang unang puwesto sa boys’ 9-year class gayundin si Sermonia na umani rin ng pitong ginto para pagharian ang boys’ 14-year.
Itinanghal ding MOS sina Jacob Gapultos (boys’ 10-year), Triza Tabamo (girls’ 12-year) at Joco Delizo (boys’ 15-over) ng Tarlac City Waves matapos magpasiklab sa kanilang dibisyon.
Ang iba pang MOS ay sina Jedrek Marcus De Leon (boys’ 6-under), Sophia Garra (girls’ 7-year), Julian Willems (boys’ 7-year), Joy Cabinta (girls’ 8-year), Khiel Abaya (boys’ 8-year), Paulene Obebe (girls’ 9-year), Beverly Mendoza (girls’ 10-year), Jenn Albreicht Sermonia (girls’ 11-year), Sophia Garcia (girls’ 13-year), Lee Grant Cabral (boys’ 13-year), at sina Allyza Palermo at Ixidorre Cajucom (girls’ 14-year).
“This is the grassroots program that coach Susan Papa started. We just want to continue her program for youth. We aim to discover more talents for future international competitions,” ani PSL president Alexandre Papa.
Ang mga nangunang swimmers ay ipadadala ng PSL sa iba’t ibang international tournaments sa Japan, Singapore at Malaysia.
