Wala nang kawala sa Cebu

CEBU CITY  , Philippines  —   Mula sa mga sporting events hanggang sa medal board ay maigting ang bakbakan ng host province at Baguio City para sa overall championship ng 2018 Philippine National Games dito.

Hanggang kahapon ng alas-5 ng hapon ay nagposte ang Cebu City ng 38 gold, 51 silver at 58 bronze medals para bumandera sa medal tally kasunod ang Baguio City (34-32-40), Mandaluyong City (23-13-16), General Santos City (16-22-27), Zamboanga City (14-6-13), Cebu Pro­vince (12-15-21), Mandaue City (12-7-7), Quezon City (11-15-19), Leyte Province (11-5-4), Pangasinan (10-9-9), Davao City (9-24-32), Manila (9-8-10).

Sa lawn tennis, tatlong gold medal ang inihataw ng Cebu City mula kina Marc Norman at Norman Joseph Enriquez (men’s doubles), Norman Joseph Enriquez (men's singles) at Norman Joseph Enriquez at Zethley Alferez (mixed doubles).

Nakasingit naman ng dalawang ginto sina national team members M­arian Capadocia (women's singles) at Melanie Faye Dizon (women's doubles).

Sa beach volleyball, inangkin ng Cebu Pro­vince at Davao Del Norte ang mga ginto sa men's at women's classes, ayon sa pagkakasunod.

Sa karatedo, tig-da­lawang gold medal ang inangkin ng Mandaluyong City (Norman Montalvo, senior men's -55kg at Rommel Martinez, men's -67kg) at Dagupan City (Jayson Ramil Macaalay, men's -60kg at John Matthew Manantan, men's -75kg).

Sa archery, tinudla nina Kareel Meer Hongitan (628) ng Baguio City at Olympian Mark Javier (638) ng Dumaguete City ang gold medal sa women's
