MANILA, Philippines - Kabuuang 20 tankers ang pinangalanang Most Outstanding Swimmers sa Class C ng 119th Philippine Swimming League (PSL) National Series na ginanap sa Rizal Memorial Swimming Pool sa Malate, Manila.
Nanguna sina Recz Edward Agustin ng Learning Garden Montessori School at Lezlie Anne Tolentino ng Mabalacat City Flying Barracudas sa listahan ng mga awardees matapos mamayagpag sa kani-kanilang mga dibisyon.
Nakalikom si Agustin ng kabuuang 39 puntos para masungkit ang unang puwesto sa boys’ 15-over category, habang umani naman si Tolentino ng 34 puntos patungo sa MOS trophy sa girls’ 15-over class.
Nagwagi rin ng MOS sina Diliman Preparatory School standouts John Xavier Salinel (boys’ 9-year) at John Leo Paul Salibio (boys’ 13-year) gayundin sina Mikhaela Bliss Dula ng Susan Papa Swim Academy (girls’ 8-year) at Claine Briana Lim ng San Sebastian College-Recoletos (girls’ 6-under).
Ang iba pang itinanghal na MOS winners ay sina Ethan Kyla Apigo (6-under), Jasper Benigla (7), Samuel Josiah Leal (8), Kyle Louis Cornel (10), Alex Marasigan (11), Rasheed Cortez (12) at Homer Lauigan (14) sa boys; at sina Alexandra Marie Pedracio (7), Sabrina Campana (9), Olive Gabrielle Suyu (10), Leah Mari Buenaventura (11), Chellsie Maine Ramirez (12), Joeanne Kassandra Corpus (13) at Avrhille Delos Trinos (14) sa girls.
“Even it is difficult for us to hold monthly competition for our newly found potential swimmers, we are keeping the program as our swimming community continue to multiply,” pahayag ni PSL President Susan Papa sa kanilang programa. “Each month more coaches and swimmers coming in to the PSL, coaches and parents realized that we have better and efficient programs to offer. We are also open to all with free membership, meaning at no cost.”
Samantala, itinanghal na overall champion ang Aquaspeed Sailfish na nakalikom ng kabuuang 1,082 puntos.
Nagdikit naman sa ikalawang puwesto ang Killer Whales Swimming Team na may 1,012 puntos.
Pumangatlo ang Diliman Preparatory School na lumangoy ng 837 puntos kasunod ang Joey Andaya Seagulls Swimming Team (810), San Sebastian College-Recoletos Golden Stags (561), Renegades Swimming Team (535), Navotas (470), Platypus Aquatic Swimming Team (384) at Mindoro Medallodon Swimming Team (321).
