Agustin nanguna sa MOS awardees
MANILA, Philippines - Pinangunahan ni Learning Garden Montessori School standout Recz Agustin ang mga Most Outstanding Swimmer (MOS) awardees sa Novice at Class C ng 112th Philippine Swimming League (PSL) National Series swimming meet na ginanap sa Diliman Preparatory School swimming pool sa Quezon City.
Humakot ng apat na gintong medalya si Agustin para angkinin ang MOS trophy sa boys’ 15-over sa Class C category ng torneong suportado ng Philippine Sports Commission.
Nakasiguro rin ng MOS sina Jenn Sermonia ng Diliman Preparatory School (girls’ 8-year), Diana Baldazo ng Camp Aguinaldo Streamline (girls’ 14-year), Katherine Gapuz ng Mabalacat City Flying Barracuda (girls’ 13-year) at Che Doronilla Jr. ng Pampanga Aqua Racers (boys’ 11-year).
Wagi rin ng MOS trophies sina Rina De Silva (10), Chellsie Ramirez (11), Adrienne Juanego (12) at Erika Maureen Flaminiano (girls’ 15-over) sa girls division at sina Araz Joseph Baldazo (10), Raindale Ching (12), Castor Delas Alas (13) at Lloyd Marquez (14) sa boys’ class.
Sa Novice, umariba sina Francino Archer Corpuz ng Diliman Preparatory School (boys’ 9-year), Cherish Magpayo ng Grace Christian College (girls’ 14-year) at Jude Austine Gapultos ng Tarlac Mako Shark Swim Team (boys’ 6-under) para makuha ang MOS award sa kani-kanilang dibisyon.
Ang iba pang MOS winners ay sina Jalane Yumang (girls’ 6-under), Abigail Van Derona (girls’ 7-year), Heleina Glorioso (girls’ 8-year), Sofia Ching (girls’ 9-year), Casey Jana Ruiz (girls’ 10-year), Kashira Tiong (girls’ 11-year), Anja Marie Nocum (girls’ 12-year), Katrina Evangelista (girls’ 13-year), Cherish Magpayo (girls’ 14-year) at Gayle Dumalaog (girls’ 15-over).
“We are starting this novice program to continue our search for new talents and potential swimmers. We monitor them, from novice to become regular competitive swimmers,” ani PSL President Susan Papa.
Nangibabaw din sina Charles Andallo (boys’ 7-year), Uno Jenkin Resado (boys’ 8-year), Minglee Chen (boys’ 10-year), Hugh Parto (boys’ 11-year), Godwyn Mercado (boys’ 12-year), Railey Bautista (boys’ 13-year) at Lawrence Arabes (boys’ 14-year).
“In time we will be able to catch up of being behind in world of swimming and we are patient in moving forward inch by inch, day by day in PSL grassroots development program,” ani Papa.
Ang PSL ay kinikilala ng PSC bilang opisyal na national sports association na nagpapatupad ng grassroots development program sa bansa. May basbas din ito ng Federation of School Sports Association of the Philippines na konektado sa International University Sports Federation (FISU).
