Atlas: Draw dapat ang hatol sa Pacquiao-Bradley fight One

MANILA, Philippines – Para kay trainer Teddy Atlas, isang draw dapat ang naging hatol sa unang paghaharap nina Timothy Bradley at Manny Pacquiao noong 2012.

Ito ay taliwas sa opinyon ng mga fans na si Pacquiao ang dapat nanalo at hindi si Bradley.

Iginawad kay Bradley ang isang controversial split decision para agawin kay Pacquiao ang suot nitong WBO welterweight title.

Ang five-member WBO panel na nagrebisa sa natu­rang laban ang pumanig kay Pacquiao, ngunit hindi nabago ang official result.

Sa report ng boxingscene.com, sinabi ni Atlas na pinanood niya ang unang Pacquiao-Bradley fight at iba ang kanyang nakita.

“I’m a great believer in film, and using that as a tool to win and prepare. So I’ll look at the film. When I looked at the film, I don’t think there should be backlash. Because when I looked at it again, the first fight, I had Timmy winning six rounds. That’s a draw,” wika ni Atlas.

“That’s a draw in my book. I had him winning six rounds. If I look at it again--which I will look at it again, obviously – maybe I’d find something else. Maybe I’d say he won seven rounds. I don’t know,” dagdag pa nito.

Kinuha ni Bradley si Atlas, naging trainer nina dating world champions Michael Moorer, Barry McGuigan at Alexander Povetkin, matapos sibakin si Joel Diaz.

Si Atlas ang nasa corner ng American nang kunin nito ang TKO win kay Brandon Rios noong Nobyembre.

Hangad ni Bradley na makabawi sa pagkatalo kay Pacquiao sa kanilang 2014 rematch para sa ikatlo nilang pagkikita sa April 9 (April 10) sa isang rubber match. (DM)
