MANILA, Philippines – Pinangunahan nina Kyla Soguilon ng Sun Yat Sen School Kalibo at Jerard Dominic Jacinto ng University of the East ang listahan ng mga Most Outstanding Swimmer (MOS) awardees sa 87th Philippine Swimming League (PSL) National Series-8th Sen. Nikki Coseteng Swimming Championship na ginanap sa Diliman College swimming pool sa Quezon City.
Nakalikom ng 70 puntos si Soguilon tampok ang kanyang apat na bagong rekord sa 100m freestyle (1:05.65), 100m butterfly (1:11.78), 100m Individual Medley (1:16.89) at 50m freestyle (30.16) para angkinin ang MOS trophy sa girls’ 11 years-old category.
Nakakolekta naman ng 64 puntos si Jacinto para mamayagpag sa boys’ 14 years event kung saan nakapagrehistro siya ng tatlong bagong marka sa 100m backstroke (1:01.15), 200m backstroke (2:18.41) at 100m IM (1:05.29).
“It was a great competition as we saw a lot of talented swimmers from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. After this competition, our focus now is to name swimmers who will represent our country in international tournaments that we’ll be joining next year,” pahayag ni PSL president Susan Papa.
Itinanghal ring MOS ang record-breakers na sina Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh ng Immaculate Heart of Mary College-Parañaque (girls’ 9-yrs old), Marc Bryan Dula ng Weissenheimer Academy (boys’ 8-yrs old), Charize Juliana Esmero ng University of the Philippines Integrated School (girls’13-yrs old), Sean Terence Zamora ng University of Santo Tomas (boys’ 15-over), Ferdinand Ian Trinidad ng Pedro Guevara Memorial National High School (boys’ 13-yrs old), Aubrey Tom ng Marikina Aquabears (girls’ 8-yrs old) at Andrea Jheremy Pacheco ng College of Saint Benilde (girls’ 15-over).
Ang iba pang nagwagi ay sina Estelle Margaret Mendez (6-under), Ehm Admadelle Alavy-Chafi (7-yrs old), Marie Joe Borres (10-yrs old), Aubrey Bermejo (12-yrs old) at Patricia Angela Aguilar (14) sa girls, at sina Master Charles Janda (6-under), Trump Christian Luistro (7-yrs old), Ivo Nikolai Enot (9-yrs old), Jennuel Booh De Leon (10-yrs old), Adrienne Laurence Macapagal (11-yrs old) at Timothy Luke Bernal (12-yrs old) sa boys.
Nakatiyak naman ng medalya sa huling araw ng kompetisyon sina Joey Del Rosario, Paul Christian Cusing, Paula Carmela Cusing, Marcus Faytaren, Aalia Jaireh Espejo, Lowestein Julian Lazaro, Nigel Romey, Jewel Sermonia, Albert Sermonia, Rio Lorenzo Malapitan, Marcus Ignatius Palces, Carmenrose Matabuena, Joy Rodgers, Jux Solita, Lans Rawlin Donato, Drew Benett Magbag, Namahig Asa Mahiwo, James Peter Hernandez, Roger Dante Giron, Ruben White, Alfonso Torrico, Joanna Cervas, Maxine Dalmacio, Lee Grant Cabral, Angela Claire Torrico at Heather White.
