Ravena MVP; Caracut Rookie of the Year
MANILA, Philippines – Engrandeng nagtapos ang collegiate career ni Kiefer Ravena ng Ateneo de Manila University matapos angkinin ang Most Valuable Player (MVP) award sa University Athletic Association of the Phi-lippines Season 78 men’s basketball tournament.
Nakalikom ang 22-anyos na si Ravena ng 69.50 statistical points (SPs) tampok ang average na 18.9 at 4.8 assists sa eliminasyon para mahablot ang kanyang ikalawang sunod na MVP trophy sa liga.
Gayunpaman, hindi buo ang selebrasyon ni Ravena matapos matalo ang Ateneo sa Final Four laban sa Far Eastern University (FEU), 74-76, upang magkasya lamang sa ikatlong puwesto sa taong ito.
Nakasama ni Ravena sa Mythical Five sina Kevin Ferrer (67.35) at Ed Daquioag (60.57) ng University of Santo Tomas (UST), Alfred Aroga (63.28) ng National University (NU), at Jeron Teng (60.78) ng De La Salle University.
“I share the award with Kevin. Deserve n’ya rin yung award na yun,” sambit ni Ravena na itinaas ang maningning na MVP trophy kasama si Ferrer.
Napasakamay naman ni Andrei Caracut ng La Salle ang Rookie of the Year award.
Ang iba pang special awards ay ang PSBankable Player of the Season (Mac Belo ng FEU), Appeton Most Improved Player (Daquioag), Master Gwapo Player of the Season (Ravena), Jollibee Bida ang Galing Player of the Season (Teng) at Bear Brand Level Up Player of the Season (Ferrer).
