MANILA, Philippines – Humataw ang mga veteran international campaigners na sina Kyla Soguilon at Michael Gabriel Lozada sa talaan ng mga nanalo sa unang araw ng 84th Philippine Swimming League (PSL) National Series-Gov. Florencio Miraflores Swimming Championship sa Aklan Provincial Complex, Makato, Aklan.
Hindi ordinaryong panalo ang nailista ng dalawa dahil mga bagong marka ang naitala nina Soguilon at Lozada sa dalawang events.
Binura ng mag-aaral ng Kalibo Sun Yat Sen School na si Soguilon ang marka sa girls’ 10 years 50-m butterfly at 50m backstroke sa naitalang 34.09 at 35.43 segundo marka. Ang dating records dito ay 34.21 at 36.15, ayon sa pagkakasunod.
Si Lozada ay nangibabaw sa boys 8 years 200m Individual Medley sa 3:05.59 at sa 50m backstroke na 39.56 para lunirin ang 3:25.13 at 41.33 dating marka.
“We’re happy seeing these kids break records. There are lots of good swimmers from this region and we’re hoping that these talented swimmers will be giving proper guidance and exposure to become one of the country’s best in the near future,” ani PSL President Susan Papa.
Ang iba pang nanalo ay sina Heather White (girls’ 8 years 50m butterfly), Joe Mari Borres (boys’ 6-under 50m butterfly), Robby Loy (boys’ 8 years 50m butterfly), Jennuel Booh De Leon (boys’ years 10 50m butterfly), Lucio Cuyong II (boys’ 12 years 200m IM), Ronald Kent Sta. Ana (boys’ 13 years 200m IM), Franchino Aplaon (boys’ 14 years 200m IM), Atilla Pia Isabela Loy (girls’ 13 years 200m IM) at Georr Jude Briones (girls’ 13 years 200m IM Class C), Irynne Sustiger, Georjeana Plenago at Erica Andrade.
Inorganisa ang torneo ng PSL katuwang ang Aklan Swimming Team na pinamumunuan ng pangulo nitong si Kokoy Soguilon.
