MANILA, Philippines - Handa ang Philippine Football Federation na gumastos ng P12 milyon para mailahok ang national men’s women’s at futsal teams sa darating na 27th Southeast Asian Games sa Myanmar sa Disyembre.
Ito ang inihayag kahapon nina national teams committee chairman Dan Palami, national women’s team coach Ernie Nierras at PFF media relations chief Ebong Joson sa PSA Forum sa Shakey’s Malate.
“The Philippine Football Federation will do whatever it takes to send our teams to Myanmar. If it is P12 million then let it be P12 million,†wika ni Palami.
Ayaw isama ng Philippine Olympic Committee at ng Philippine Sports Commission ang mga national football teams sa Myanmar SEA Games.
Ito ay dahil sa mahinang ipinakita ng men’s under-23 squad sa nakaraang 2011 SEA Games.
Ayon kay Palami, kung ang budget ang inaalala ng POC at ng PSC ay sila na ang gagastos para sa tatlong koponan sa Myanmar.
“This is why the PFF, with the help of private sector, is willing to spend as much because we believe that our teams have strong chances of winning gold medals,†ani Palami.
Gusto ng PFF na isabak ang national Under-23 squad sa men’s competition, national women’s squad na Malditas at ang men’s futstal team sa nasabing regional meet.
Hanggang ngayon ay wala pang pormal na pahayag ang POC at ang PSC kung tuluyan nang iiwanan ang football teams sa delegasyon para sa Myanmar SEA Games.
“I don’t think we’re asking that much. We are already doing our part,†ani Nierras. “All we need right now is to maximize our resources by being able to represent our country proudly.â€
