ANG text message ng MIAA - MAD, ay ito....Flight QR 932 from Doha, Qatar encountered clear air turbulence while on flight causing minor injuries to at least 40 passengers who did not have their seatbelts on.

Resulting development on the incident cleared initial information gathered.

At around 3:18pm, the pilot requested priority landing and medical assistance as the flight was 30 miles out of Manila.

The aircraft landed at 3:34pm and made its return trip in the evening of the same day.

Medical attention was immediately given to the passengers.

Clear air turbulence is associated with high altitude flights. These cannot be detected by instruments unlike turbulence due to bad weather.

The sign of clear air turbulence is a bumpy ride in a clear, cloudless sky. Its strength could not be determined until it hits the aircraft.

Wearing one’s seatbelt during the course of a flight can prevent physical harm associated with such unexpected turbulence.

Sagot - ng reporter entoto!

This is hyprocrisy to the highest level

This is not additional information but a major correction to your very delayed text message (MIAA-MAD) sent to airport reporters.

The text message you sent around 7:29pm last Saturday, although the incident ang the request for priority landing is 3:18pm is very very very delayed and the information...’ initial information gathered revealed that Qatar Airway flight QR-932, experienced ‘turbulence’ while approaching the runway causing landing glitch past 3pm,’ is not accurate and very, very, very wrong in technical description.

The request for emergency landing by the pilot around 3:18pm of Saturday indicates that MIAA emergency staff are already informed of the situation, thus prior the actual landing. All emergency staff and supposed to be including MIAA - Media Affair Division (MAD), are pre-positioned before the actual landing.

Thus, the absence of documentation (video/photo) by MAD staff Ms. Gilly and Mao is not acceptable unless they are instructed to release the video and photo and the information relayed to airport reporters are very, very, very delayed.

This email message should not be an additional information but rather a major, major, major correction to your erroneous and very, very, very delayed information release to journalist.

Several airport reporters complained to me about your very, very, very late release and erroneous information had you only initially informed the airport reporters of the initial Plan B (emergency landing of aircraft) much accurate and detailed and correct information could have been gathered by airport reporters.

Your deliverate system of delaying the release of information especially on negative stories at the airport will only result to more chaotic and confusion to the millions of readers, listeners and viewers.

This is the first time that MIAA MAD attention is being addressed by airport reporters not only because of the very, very, very delayed and erroneous information released to journalist.

We hope that transparency is observed and more accurate and correct information are released to airport reporters in the earliest possible time.

All airport reporters can gather the information in a faster manner that can be reported to the public as soon as possible.

The incident that happened around 3:18pm should not be disseminated to airport reporters by 7:29pm

MABUHAY ANG MALAYANG PAMAMAHAYAG.

Abangan.
