MANILA, Philippines — Umarangkada na rin  ang pagbibigay ng  booster shots ng Quezon City  government sa mga healthcare workers kahapon.

May inisyal na  5,000 healthcare workers at non-medical personnel sa health facilities ang bibigyan ng booster shots mula kahapon hanggang sa Biyernes sa ibat- ibang vaccination sites   sa  Rosa Susano Elementary School, Pinyahan ­Elementary School at Don Alejandro Roces Science Technology High School.

Ang pagbabakuna sa  A1 Priority Group ay magpapatuloy sa susunod na mga araw.

“Our healthcare wor­kers are the first ones to receive the vaccines when we first launched it in March. Since they are consistently exposed to the virus due to their work, it is important that they be given booster shots for additional protection,”  pahayag ni QC Mayor Joy Belmonte .

Sa ilalim ng panuntunan ng Department of Health, ang  booster doses ay ibibigay lamang sa nabakunahan na ng second shots ng may anim na buwan o sa pagitan ng buwan ng Abril at Mayo.

Ngayong darating na  weekend, ang QC-based tertiary hospitals ay magsisimulang bakunahan ang kanilang medical at non- medical staff.
