“The daughter told me she had to rush her father to the hospital herself because nobody, no emergency response teams came to assist them,” pahayag ni Belmonte na ngayo’y humahalili bilang alkalde dahil si Mayor Herbert Bautista ay nasa Europe.
At the end of the day, what will you do with your awards if, when the people need you, you’re not there for them? So, maybe, there is a disconnect. Maybe our results, our self-praise, must come from how many people we have actually responded to in their time of need,” dagdag pa ni Belmonte.
