MANILA, Philippines — Naplantsa na ang hatian ng mga komite sa Senado matapos ang isang dinner meeting sa bahay ni Sen. Manny Pacquiao kamakalawa ng gabi kung saan dumalo halos lahat ng mga incoming senators.

Mananatili kay Sen. Richard Gordon ang Blue Ribbon at Justice and Human Rights committees.

Si Sen. Sonny Angara ang hahawak sa finance na iiwanan ni outgoing Sen. Loren Legarda. Ang foreign relations na iiwanan din ni Legarda ay mapupunta kay Sen. Koko Pimentel.

Mananatili rin ang labor, employment and human resources development kay Sen. Joel Villanueva.

Hahawakan pa rin ni Sen. Grace Poe ang public services at mapupunta rin sa kanya ang banks, financial institutions and currencies na iiwanan ni Sen. Francis Escudero.

Ang education, arts and culture ay hahatiin na sa dalawa kung saan magkakaroon ng committee on basic education at higher education. Mapupunta ito kina Villanueva at Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian.

Tatlong komite ang nais mahawakan ni Sen. Bong Go, ang health, Urban Planning, Housing and Resettlement at Sports.

Hinihingi naman ni Sen. Imee Marcos ang public information and social media at social justice, welfare and rural development na hinahawakan ni Sen. Leila de Lima.

Inaasahang mapupunta kay Sen. Francis Tolentino ang local government habang games and amusement kay Sen. Lito Lapid at public order and dangerous drugs kay dela Rosa na ngayon ay hinahawakan ni Sen. Panfilo Lacson.

Hindi dumalo sa meeting sina Sen. Cynthia Villar at Sen. Pia Cayetano, Pimentel at Lacson.
