MANILA, Philippines - Dahil milyon-milyong piso ang nasayang sa Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) program sa mga ghost beneficiaries batay na rin sa report ng Commission on Audit (COA), muling nanawagan si Gabriela Rep. Emmi de Jesus sa Kongreso na repasuhin ang kontrobersiyal na poverty alleviation measure.

Noong nakaraang taon, isinampa ni de Jesus sa mababang kapulungan ng Kongreso ang House Resolution 332 na nag-aatas sa Committee on Poverty Alleviation nito na siyasatin ang CCT. Pumirma rin dito ang 13 pang kongresista.

Ayon sa 2012 COA report, ang pangalan ng 7,782 pamilyang nabigyan ng P50.15 milyon ay hindi tumutugma sa List of Validated and Registered Household Beneficiaries of the National Household Targeting Office (NHTO) ng Department of Social Welfare and Development.

“Maituturing itong ire­gular na nagreresulta sa dagdag na gastusin ng pamahalaan sa pamamahagi ng Conditional Cash Transfers,” saad pa sa report.

Sinabi naman ni de Jesus na isa itong pruweba na dapat repasuhin ng Kongreso ang kahina-hinalang flagship poverty program ni Pangulong Aquino.
