Pekeng Interpol gumagala
MANILA, Philippines - Gumagala umano ang isang sindikatong nagpapanggap na konektado sa International Police at nagre-recruit ng mga miÂyembro kapalit ng donasyon.
Ayon kay PNP Public Information Office Chief P/Sr. Supt. Reuben Theodore Sindac, nag-isyu na ng memorandum si P/Director Alex Paul Monteagudo, PNP Director for Operations, laban sa recruitment ng pekeng organisasyon na ginagamit ang International Criminal Police Organization (ICPO) o INTERPOL na nagkukunwaring anti-crime civic organization at may national network na konektado sa Interpol na nakabase sa Paris, France.
“INTERPOLCOM’s declaration about it’s organization is generally misleading the public. While it claims to be a non-profit, non-governmental and non-secretarian organization, its very own website encourages the public to send donations,†ayon naman kay Ret Police Director Felizardo M. Serapio Jr., Executive Director ng Philippine Center on Transnational Crime (PCTC) at head ng Interpol Manila-National Center (NCB) Secretariat.
Kabilang sa mga lugar kung saan namonitor ang pagre-recruit ng pekeng Interpolcom ay sa Nueva Vizcaya at iba pang bahagi ng Region 2.
