‘Pork’ ni Malapitan pinahinto ng korte

MANILA, Philippines - Pinahinto kahapon ng Caloocan City Regional Trial Court (RTC) si 1st District Congressman Oscar Malapitan sa paggamit nito ng Priority Development Assitance Fund (PDAF) o pork barrel sa pamamagitan ng pag-isyu ng tseke o medical coupon gamit ang tanggapan ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) matapos katigan ng korte ang petisyon na inihain ni Mayor Enrico “Recom” Echiverri upang mapahinto ang korupsiyon.

Sa 2-pahinang desisyon ni Judge Dionisio Sison ng Caloocan City RTC Branch 125, inutusan nito si Malapitan at ang DSWD sa paghinto ng pag-isyu ng tseke at medical coupon na kukunin sa PDAF ng kongresista. Bukod kay Malapitan respondent din sa naturang petisyon sina DSWD Secretary Dinky Soliman at Comelec Chairman Sixto Brillantes, Jr.

Sa iprinisintang ebidensiya ni Echiverri, anak nitong si Councilor Ricojudge “RJ” Echiverri at ng isang Luis Razo na patuloy ang pagwaldas ni Malapitan ng PDAF nito sa pamamagitan ng pag-isyu ng tseke at medical coupons ng DSWD.

Sabi pa sa desisyon, “violations on the prohibition of disbursement of public funds during election period under Section 261 on the Omnibus Election Code; that the disbursement of public funds of respondent Malapitan are used to advance his candidacy as Mayor of Caloocan City.” Matatandaan na unang naghain ng petisyon para sa TRO si Mayor Echiverri upang ipahinto ang paggamit ni Malapitan ng pork barrel nito sa kampanya na isang paraan umano ng “corruption, vote-buying at fund-raising na mahigpit na ipinagbabawal ng Omnibus Election Code.
