Korean noodles ni-recall na

MANILA, Philippines - Mismong ang importer ng mga Korean instant noodles ang bumawi sa mga supermarkets na sinasabing maaaring maging sanhi ng cancer.

Ayon kay Food and Drug Administration (FDA) acting director Kenneth Hartigan-Go, anim na Korean noodles ang boluntaryong binawi matapos umanong makitaan ng benzopyrene, isang carcinogen na sinasabing maaaring maging sanhi ng kanser.

Sa kabila naman nito, tiniyak ni Hartigan-Go na ipagpapatuloy ng FDA ang monitoring sa kaligtasan ng produkto.

Kabilang sa mga ni-recall ay ang Nongshim Neoguri (Hot) (expiration dates Oct. 22 to Nov. 11, 2012); Nongshim Neoguri (Hot) Multi (expiration dates Oct. 22 to Nov. 11, 2012); Nongshim Neoguri (Mild) (expiration dates Oct. 28 to Nov. 17, 2012); Nongshim Big Bowl Noodle Shrimp (expiration dates Nov. 4 to 29, 2012 and Jan. 1 to 30, 2013 (made in Busan only)); Nongshim Saengsaeng Udon Bowl Noodle (expiration dates Sept. 30 to Oct. 22, 2012) at Nongship Saengsaeng Udon (expiry dates Aug. 28 to Oct. 8, 2012).
