Sasakyang may dalang relief goods, exempted sa truck ban at number coding

MANILA, Philippines – Inihayag ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) ngayong Lunes na exempted sa truck ban at number-coding scheme ang mga sasakyang magdadala ng relief goods at iba pang pangangailangan para sa repacking ng mga tulong sa mga nasalanta ng bagyong “Yolanda.”

Sinabi ni MMDA general manager Corazon Jimenez na nilagdaan ni MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino ang memorandum upang hindi hulihin nang paglabag sa Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program ang mga naturang sasakyan.

Kasalukuyang nasa Tacloban City ngayon si Tolentino bilang pinuno ng task force na siyang namamahala sa debris clearing operation sa Tacloban City.

Tatlong relief repacking centers ang tinukoy ng MMDA at ito ang – Ninoy Aquino Stadium, the Department of Social Welfare and Development relief station sa NAIA Road, Pasay City at Air 21 Warehouse sa Old MIA Road, Barangay Vitalez, Parañaque City.

Sinabi pa ni Jimenez na hanggang Nobyembre 30 ang number coding at truck ban exemption.

Layunin ng exemption na mapabilis ang pagdating ng  relief goods sa repacking areas upang madaling madala sa mga nasalantang lugar ng bagyo.
