15 Pinoy tumanggap ng scholarship sa South Korea

MANILA, Philippines – Tumanggap ng scholarship ang 15 estudyanteng Pinoy na nagtapos sa South Korea mula sa Woojung Education and Culture Foundation, ayon sa ulat ng embahada ng bansa sa Seoul.

Bukod sa 15 Pinoy ay ginawaran din ang 85 iba pang nagtapos mula sa Bangladesh, Cambodia, Fiji, Kenya, Ghana, Laos, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Timor Leste at Vietnam. Makakatanggap ang bawat estudyante ng one-year grant na nagkakahalaga ng 4 milyon won o naglalaro sa $4,000.

“The large number of scholarship grants awarded to the Philippines shows the high level of excellence being exhibited by Filipino students in Korea and is also a good indication of the excellent bilateral relations between our two countries,” sabi ni Philippine Ambassador to Korea Luis T. Cruz sa awarding ceremony.

Mayroong 429 na estudyanteng Pinoy sa South Korea base sa pinakahuling bilang noong Disyembre 2012.

Ang 15 Pinoy scholars ay naka-enroll sa mga graduate courses na: Practical Applied Linguistics, Biomedical Science and Technology, Computer Science and Engineering, Education, Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, Energy Science, Industrial Microbiology and Biotechnology, Molecular BioMedicine, Inter Asia NGO Studies, Animal Science, Medicine, European Union Studies, Masters of Business Administration, Environmental Engineering at Public Administration.

Dinaluhan ng mga opisyal mula ng Woojung Education and Culture Foundation at kinatawan mula sa iba’t ibang bansa na tumanggap ng scholarship program.
