Goma at Lucy tuloy lang sa pagpapaganda ng Ormoc!

MANILA, Philippines — Muling pinatunayan ng showbiz and politics power couple na sina reelected Ormoc City Mayor Richard Gomez and 4th District of Leyte Representative Lucy-Torres Gomez na tunay na nagtitiwala at minamahal sila ng kanilang mga kababayan sa Ormoc, ang tinaguriang City of Beautiful People.

Lubos na ipinagmamalaki ni Mayor Richard sa kanilang oathtaking noong Hunyo 30 sa Ormoc Superdome kasama ng kanilang mga konsehal sa Ormoc Development Team ang ‘13-0’ win at sinasabing ‘historic win’ sa kanilang lugar.

Kasabay ng pagbanggit ng slogan ni Mayor Richard na #GOMA (#LetsGetOrmocMovingAhead) ay ipinapangako niya ang magagandang proyekto para sa ikauunlad ng kanilang bayan. Ilan sa mga ito ay ang Lake Danao Water System, Modernization program of  City’s Transportation System and Opening up more roads and schools and increasing their capability to respond to disasters, Inviting industries that produce energy from waste and trash to locate in the city.

Nabanggit din ni Mayor sa kanyang inaugural speech na talaga namang pinalakpakan nang husto, “The year 2018 and the first half of 2019 have been kind to Ormoc. There were no life-threatening calamities, but we cannot be complacent. We have to be more ready for eventualities. We will be acquiring more ambulances, water trucks and fire trucks. We will put more automated external defibrillators (AEDS in big barangays, and will continue to support programs on disaster prevention.”

Samantala, ramdam na ramdam naman namin kung gaano ka-proud si Congresswoman sa kanyang asawang si Mayor Richard.

“Mayor, thank you for the inspiration, and for the courage. I do not think I would be half as brave to take on all I’ve had to take on without you by my side. I will fight any war with you.”
