“Manny, being a Filipino, promotes the Philippines. The marketing value for the country is priceless.
“A special tax exemption, therefore is justifiable and worth it,” sey pa ni Pimentel sa kanyang interview sa media.
Ayon pa kay Pimentel: “During his training, let us inspire Manny by way of passing a special tax exemption act for this particular fight.
“Anyway, we are not blind that a substantial part of his boxing proceeds goes to the people through Manny’s helping hand.
“Manny is now part of our history and of world sports history. Let’s give him this tax incentive in recognition to his invaluable efforts to promote boxing and the country around the world.”
“We went through the process. It was a long process and we weren’t allowed to talk about it not until we were already taping for the first episode of AsGT.
“So we were very careful not to say anything over social media, even if we were really excited to tell our families and friends. When they us the go signal, we immediately went to Instagram, Facebook and Twitter to share the good news,” sey pa ni Marc.
“This wasn’t given to us on a silver platter. We really have to work for it and perhaps the people at AXN were really impressed by us and our rapport.
“We really hid this thing from the people close to us. But now we can be proud of saying that we’re the hosts of the most successful talent show franchise in the world.”
