Back as a tandem naman sina Gabby Concepcion at Lorna Tolentino, who both remain to date as two of the most in demand senior actors.

Makakasama nila sina Kathryn Bernardo at Daniel Padilla sa Star Cinema’s post-Valentine offering, Crazy, Beautiful Love, directed by Mae Cruz-Alviar.

‘‘Marami-rami ring pelikulang pinagsamahan kami ni LT,”  ani Gabby. ‘‘Sa rami at dahil matagal na rin siguro, ‘di ko na matandaan ang title ng huling movie na pinagsamahan namin.’’

‘‘Nakakatuwang makasama muli si Gabby sa isang project,” saad naman ni LT.

“And with no less than the current teenage love team of the hour for our co-stars.

Now in her 50s, LT is Lola to a less than a year-old baby girl, daughter of her eldest son, Raprap.

Now a Councilor of Parañaque City, Alma’s eldest, Mark Anthony, her son by LT’s late husband, Rudy Fernandez, has a son na nag-aartista na rin. The boy is featured with Nash Aguas in the high rating series, Bagito.

Vernie Varga tinapos na ang pagbibilang ng diamonds, balik na sa pagkanta

How long was it na nga ba when we last saw Vernie Varga, Salve A., sung with her fellow singers on stage either for a mere singing stint or for a concert?

Ang tagal na rin.

Well, in all those years na, wika nga, ‘‘nanahimik’’ siya, Vernie said, concentrated siya sa pagiging housewife and mother.

When the children naman became older (her eldest is 21), and the urge to sing hit her anew, she decided na ili-limit na lang ang kanyang appearances sa corporate shows o events.

As we all know, her husband’s family is in the diamond (yes, gem) business. And had she chosen to, puwedeng-puwede na niyang talikuran ang kanyang pagiging singing performer.

Masaya naman siya, that not just her husband but his family as well, approve na maging active pa rin siya once in a while sa kanyang propesyong minamahal hanggang ngayon.

And guess what? Sa unang pagkakataon, after many years, Vernie will be performing with an array of fellow OPM (Original Pilipino Music) singers. In what OPM President Ogie Alcasid, yes, the singer and songwriter, promises to be a concert which certainly will make a mark sa history ng Philippine concert.

May titulong MuSIKATIN (Musikang Sikat sa Atin), this rare concert will be held on February 20, Friday, sa Philippine Arena, considered the biggest arena in the world.

To be directed by Paolo Valenciano and music by Ryan Cayabyab, all performer ay kakanta ng OPM songs. And they will have no less than the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra accompanying them.

Ang mga magpi-perform aside from Ogie and Vernie will include Hajji Alejandro, Rey Valera, Michael V. Angeline Quinto, Lovi Poe, Solenn Heussaff, Gloc-9, at Jett Pangan ng The Dawn.
