Erik masayang makakasama sa misa sa Luneta!

Natupad ang pangarap ni Jamie Rivera na mahalikan ang kamay ni Pope Francis na suot niya ang singsing, sagisag ng kanyang pagiging head nating mga Katoliko, nang matapos ­niyang awitin, together with several children, ang awiting We Are All God’s Children, which she wrote and composed, at napiling theme song ng pagdating sa Pilipinas ng Papa. Pinaakyat siya and her group to join her and Cardinal Tagle onstage at the MOA (Mall of Asia Arena), Friday, when His Eminence met with ilang mga piling Filipino families, representing all sectors of society.

The Pope touched, too, all the young children’s heads gently, after they, too, had kissed his hand.

Ang makipag-selfie raw sana kay Pope Francis. Which, on second thought, alam niyang wrong move kung ginawa niya.

Erik said, he was in Singapore for a performance, when he received word from his talent manager, Boy Abunda, that the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP), invited him to sing at the said event.

Boy, Erik said, mentioned to him what part of the mass, kumbaga, siya magpe-perform. Which, according to Erik, would not have mattered really. Sapat na sa kanya ang makasama sa misa. And for him, that’s honor enough.

In the same interview, na guest si Erik nina Kris Aquino at Boy Abunda, sa daily (weekdays) midnight show ng dalawa, binanggit din ni Erik, na yes, may special friendship na namamagitan sa kanila ng kanyang fellow Kapamilya singer na si Angeline Quinto.

Speaking of Kris naman, she revealed that after the Pope’s official visit sa Malacañang to meet with her brother, President Noynoy (Aquino), bilang head of the state naman ng Vatican City kung saan present silang magkakapatid at mga anak niyang sina  Joshua at Bimby, sinabihan daw siya ni P-Noy na ‘wag na siyang sumama sa misa ng Santo Papa sa ngayong araw kung saan dadalo ang presidente sa Luneta.

Ewan daw kung bakit kakaibang lungkot ang kanyang naramdaman.

It was daw according to Kris, Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle who sort of came to the rescue sa kanya at sa kanyang mga kapatid.

Ani raw ni Cardinal Tagle, na kung nahihiya si ­P-Noy na isama silang muli na magkakapatid na babae nito para mag-attend ng mass sa Luneta, then, he is personally inviting Kris and her sisters, to the Holy occasion.

Cardinal Tagle is not only Manila’s Archbishop he is the over-all head of the Pope’s visit.
