Yeng namuhunan sa resto-bar

Guess, Salve A., what Yeng Constantino, singer and song-writer, plus a woman in love and about to marry, considers her latest accomplishment.

Well, she’s now a businesswoman. Together with some business partners, Yeng put up a resto-bar, called Garage 88, located on Upper Katipunan, last November. And already, Yeng proudly said, it’s doing well.

Does this mean, she is considering quitting the music scene na, since, hayan nga at itinakda na niya ang kanyang kasal sa kanyang less than a year boyfriend, si Victor ‘‘Yan’’ Concepcion.

‘‘Naku,’’ quickly ang sagot ni Yeng. ‘‘Far from it. Mag-asawa man ako at  eventually magka-anak, halimbawa, singing and composing will be my priority.

‘‘Suwerte ko nga,’’ patuloy ni Yeng,  ‘‘at si Yan music lover, too. He is into composing, too. And he sings as well.’’

This is, aside, of course, from Yan being a Worship Director of a Christian community, where Yeng is also a member.

Better known for a time as the Princess of Pop-Rock, Yeng hits a different tune, kumbaga, with her latest album, her sixth for Star Records, titled All About Love.

The album, which, according to Yeng, is a ‘labor of love,’ contains all original tracks, which she created herself, she said, her friends and Yan.

The LP’s carrier single, is, of course, Yeng’s current biggest hit, Ikaw, which,  about to be married couple, chose to have for their wedding song.

She composed the song, while she felt overwhelmed with love for Yan.

Her other composition in the album is Dance Without Music.

Ang mga awitin naman sa LP na ‘‘tatak’’ Yan, wika nga, are Shining Like the Sun (Baby Are You Ready?) Your Love Is My Relief, and What’s Up Ahead.

Featured are other love songs, too, such as Dito Ka Lang sa Tabi, composed by Tito Sorioso, Feels Like (Gus Abarquez), So Beautiful (Jonathan Manalo, isa sa top guns ng Star Records), Lewis Wheel (Jed Dumawal), at Una’t Huling Pag-ibig (Ebe Dancel).

By the way, the album, now available in all record bars for only P350, also contains the instrumental of Ikaw.

Meryll ayaw siraan ang dating asawa

Meryll Soriano, on the other hand, may now be legally separated from former husband, Bernard Palanca, dad of her only son, now six years old.

In fairness to Meryll, hindi mo siya mariringgan ng kahit pasa­ring about her ex-husband, kung sabagay, lalo’t, wika nga, things unfavorable. As Meryll said in previous interviews, nanatili silang  ‘‘connected’’ with each other ni Bernard, no matter what. Dahil nga sa may anak sila.

Now, of course, second time Dad si Bernard to Jerika Ejercito’s first baby, first din na apo ng da­ting akters na si Laarni Enriquez. Jerika’s Dad, of course, is former President and now Manila Mayor, Joseph Estrada.

Meryll, meanwhile, has herself found a new love, Italian Thomas Lazzarini, na kanyang nakilala noong first year niyang nag-aaral sa London, specifically sa University of the Arts in London, where she is taking up a course in Product Design.

Geoff at Carla ramdam na ramdam ng mga tao ang pagkamuhi sa isa’t isa

Totoo pala, Salve A., na ‘di naging maayos ang ‘‘parting of ways,’’ kumbaga, ng dating mag-sweethearts na sina Geoff Eigenmann at Carla Abellana.

While the two of them are not directly articulating their current ill-feelings for each other, still na-feel ng isang nag-interview sa kanila na matindi ang hinanakit nilang nararamdaman (sa isa’t isa).

Well, while nali-link na sa kasalukuyan si Carla kay Tom Rodriguez, walang balita kung may ‘‘bago’’ na si Geoff. O, kung hindi man, may kasalukuyang pinu-pormahan ito.

In any case, ask lang kita, Salve A., possible nga bang magkimkim ka ng galit to the max sa isang dating pinakamamahal. Lalo’t kung nagtagal din ang iyong relasyon. Tulad ng kina Carla at Geoff na four years din yatang naging mag-sweethearts.
