Just like most entertainment writers at that time, until movie producers who used to have their offices at the area, left Escolta, and transferred to Quezon City, which became the so-called entertainment capital ng showbiz.

With Ernie gone, another well-read entertainment writer and former publicist also Public Relations officer of Universal Records, owned by the family of the late Bella Tan, will surely be missed.

So long, Ernie. May you rest in peace.

Thank you too, Salve A., hindi mai-describe na pagsuporta ang ibini­gay mo rin ay Tito Ernie mo, since sa iyo unang ipinaalam ng kanyang kasera, owner ng bahay na niri-rentahan ni Ernie, ang nangyari sa kanya. Naging concrete ang pagdamay mo sa kanya hanggang ngayon.
