Just asking: Ba’t nga ba, lately, Salve A., hindi busy with any project, mapa-TV o mapa-movies si Diether Ocampo.

A contract talent ng ABS-CBN, Diether’s last assignment for the network was Apoy sa Dagat, which co-starred him with Angelica Panganiban and Joel Torre, among others.

Wonder what’s keeping Diether busy?

Ellen taken na, malabonang ma-link kay JC

Let’s not expect a romance to happen between JC de Vera and Ellen Adarna, even if the two are teamed up for the first time in the soap, Moon of Desire.

Taken na pala itong si Ellen by someone not in showbiz. The guy, reportedly tall and handsome, but not one in showbiz, is Raoul Olbes.

Ellen would have played leading lady, too, to Vhong Navarro in a horror-suspense flick, which Bb. Joyce Bernal would have directed for Star Cinema.

Ellen was formerly a Kapuso talent.

Meg bida sa Moon of desire

Also in the cast of Moon of Desire is Meg Imperial, who has just wrapped work for the soon-to-be released production ng Viva Films, ABNKKBSNPLAko, which headlines Jericho Rosales, among others.

The film, which is the abbreviation of Aba Nakakabasa Na Pala Ako? is based on a bestseller, na ang author, Ben Ong (reportedly kanyang pseudonym lang, we heard), is directed by Mark Meily. Other stars in the cast are Andi Eigenmann and Vandolph.

Echo natutong magpatawa kay Vandolph

Kino-consider ni Echo (pet name ni Jericho) na ABANKKBSNPLAko? which earned an A-rating from the Cinema Evaluation Board (CEB), as his first crack at comedy.

So, how was it? Echo was asked at the presscon of the movie.

‘‘Masaya pala,’’ he replied. ‘‘Although, at first, I must admit, medyo nangapa ako.

‘‘Siguro dahil mas at home nga ako sa drama.

‘‘Salamat sa constant na pag-alalay ni Direk Mark. And, of course, Vandolph, na natural comedian, like his late Dad, Dolphy, na gumaganap bilang friend ko sa pelikula.’’

Come to think of it, Echo and Vandolph are together as well in the popular series, The Legal Wife, which has Angel Locsin playing the title role.
