Angeline aminado umasa kay Coco!

Guess who is as excited, Salve A., with most everyone involved in the airing on Jan. 27 of ABS-CBN’s newest teleserye, The Legal Wife, which Angel Locsin playing the title role? Angeline Quinto, that’s who. As she said: “May participation ako sa series ha?’’

Yes, the Queen of Teleserye Theme Songs is again the voice behind The Legal Wife’s song, Hanggang Kailan Kita Mamahalin.

The song, if you recall, was first popularized by Sharon Cuneta. It was the theme song of one of Sharon’s most memorable films for Star Cinema, Madrasta.

As of the moment, Angeline can no longer count the number of songs na kanyang inawit at naging bahagi ng maraming teleserye na prinodyus ng ABS-CBN.

‘‘But I have to acknowledge the fact na dahil sa mga theme song ng teleserye assigned to me, somehow, naging popular din ako, ehem, as a recording star,” sabi ni Angeline.

Considered by her recording studio as a multi-platinum selling artist, she is starting the year 2014 with a bang. Star Records is finally releasing her new album, and included among the songs featured ay isang awiting siya ang sumulat at nag-compose.

Ani Jonathan Manalo, producer ng album na Higher Love: ‘‘Ang ganda ng first work ni Angeline as a songwriter. I guess it will prove the selling point of the album.”

Titled Sana2X (Sana Sana), according na rin mismo kay Angeline, is parang kuwento na rin niya tungkol sa kanyang karanasan sa pag-ibig. All because it’s about someone na umibig, inibig din naman, pero ’di, kumbaga, nag-consummate ang pag-ibig niyang ito.

Lumuha man siya pero natutong bumangon.

Biro namin kay Angeline at the presscon for her album, ‘‘Si Coco Martin ba ang tinutukoy niyang kanyang lalaking inibig, pero ’di nagkaroon ng ending ang akala rin ng lahat ay pag-ibigan na ngang tunay?

Natawa, susog ni Angeline: ‘‘Ah, basta.’’

In any case, the album, aside from Sana2x, also contained the songs Nag-iisa Lang, Sino Ako sa ’Yo, Ako na Lang, Ikaw ang Aking Mundo, Babalik Kang Muli, Kung Sakali Man, Bring Back the Times, Hanggang Kailan Kita Mamahalin, and the cover album’s Higher Love.

Angeline’s presscon proved to be, kumbaga, no holds barred. In fairness sa kanya, sinagot niya lahat ng tanong. Sobrang personal man o otherwise.

Halimbawa, when someone asked her if true na may mga ‘‘ilan’’ sa kanyang mukha na kanyang ipinaretoke, ang sagot niya, ‘‘Mata lang naman.’’

She would have wanted daw sana to have Dr. Vicki Belo and her group of surgeons to do something about her nose. Kaso nga raw, nang malaman nga ni Regine Velasquez, her idol, ang kanyang balak, Reg advised her not to.

Even if pressured to explain on why Regine gave her such advice, Angeline chose not to elaborate.

But Angeline did admit na ipina-botox niya ang kanyang kili-kili. Which is why, she reasons ’di siya nagdadalawang-isip na magsuot ng damit na sleeveless. O, backless.

Now, seriously, if there’s one thing daw na pangarap niya for this year, ito’y ang magkaroon siya ng concert sa Smart Araneta Coliseum.

“At sana, sana, mapuno ko ito ng audience,’’ asam pa ni Angeline.

From what we heard from Robi Bustamante of the Smart Araneta Coliseum, 18,000 plus ang capacity ng Big Dome.

For your information (FYI), Angeline.
