JC type si Maja!
Excited si JC de Vera sa first taping niya for The Legal Wife, his first project as a Kapamilya contract star, last Monday.
And guess why?
Well, he has for his leading lady in the series no less than Maja Salvador na, ayon sa kanya, ay kanyang long-time crush. Ganun man, wala raw siyang balak ligawan ang young actress dahil he knows daw na boyfriend na nito si Gerald Anderson.
Loveless si JC at the moment. When he left TV5 kasi ay kabi-break lang nila ni Danita Paner. Two years ding nagtagal ang kanilang relasyon.
The Legal Wife is topbilled by Angel Locsin, with Jericho Rosales as her leading man.
As far as JC knows daw, also in the series with them are Christopher de Leon, Mark Gil, Rio Locsin, and Vandolph.
Although, tulad niya, dati ring GMA 7 talent si Angel pero they never had the chance to work together.
Sam inaasam ang role ni Enrique
Binatang-binata na ang dating teenage singer na si Sam Concepcion. And don’t look now, sobra ang na-add sa kanyang height. Kaya he looks tall for his age, 21.
May nobya na rin si Sam, si Jasmine Curtis Smith, nakababatang kapatid ni Anne Curtis. Jasmine is under contract to TV5, kaya, malayong magkatrabaho sila.
Which is just as well, ani Sam, as he doesn’t want to create a love team between him and Jasmine.
Acting-wise, it looks like sobra ang improvement ni Sam based on his performance as someone determined na makatapos ng kanyang pag-aaral despite, wika nga, all odds. And this includes his mom’s lack of support and encouragement despite the honor he brought home as a student.
Given the chance, he wants to do roles like those played by Enrique Gil especially the one he played in the still showing blockbuster film, She’s the One.
His choice of a leading lady? Jessy Mendiola. Or, Sarah Geronimo.
Sam, if you recall, was the contestant na tumalo kay Charice in the singing contest, Little Big Star. Thirteen years old lang siya noon.
Bagama’t saludo raw siya sa achievement na natamo ni Charice here and abroad as a singer, he knows daw one day soon ay makakamit din niya ang lahat ng pangarap niya na may kinalaman sa kanyang showbiz career.
Iza nagpatung-patong ang trabaho
Iza Calzado is busy with not just one or two but three projects.
Beaming, she said, “’Di ba, they say, they come in threes? O, ayan. Tatlo nga ’yan.â€
Iza enumerated the projects: You’re Home, a new series co-starring her with Richard Gomez, Dawn Zulueta, Cherry Pie Picache, Shaina Magdayao, Enchong Dee, and teenage star Ella Cruz and Francis Mangundayao; The Biggest Loser, the first reality show she will host; and the movie, Unlove, with Piolo Pascual and Toni Gonzaga.
All these, of course, are earmarked for a January release but she has started working on them.
Where Iza’s love life is concerned, alam nating happy siya with her Filipino-British boyfriend.
But this coming All Souls’ Day makes her feel sad as she misses both her mom and dad.
Iza’s father was the late choreographer-TV director, Lito Calzado.
