Little Juan gustong mag-doktor!
Two Goin’ Bulilit talents who are going places are Izzy Canillo and Cha-Cha Cañete. Both are nine years old and in Grade III.
Regular student naman si Cha-Cha sa UP Integrated School where she’s in the honor list.
Si Izzy, as we all know, is playing the title role in the afternoon primetime ng ABS-CBN series My Little Juan.
Cha-Cha naman has been picked to represent the country in the Junior Division of the 17th World Championship of Performing Arts (WCOPA).
Jed Madela, if you recall, was a WCOPA champ. It’s the same team na tumulong kay Jed para makasali sa WCOPA ang nasa likuran din ni Cha-Cha bilang contestant in this international singing competition.
She will join the solo vocalist division not just in one, but five different categories — the Broadway, Pop, Gospel/Inspirational, Open, and Original categories. And this early, Cha-Cha is said to be the youngest contestant to represent the country in the competition with 50 other contestants from the world over.
Besides competing sa WCOPA, guess what excites the kid more sa nalalapit niyang trip to the US, specifically sa Hollywood, California where the contest will be held?
Ani Cha-Cha, “Aside from the chance na makita ang Hollywood, excited din akong makapunta sa Disneyland at Universal Studios.â€
Her trip to the contest venue and that of her chapeÂron, plus siguro other expenses pa, will be shouldered by Camella Homes and Moose Girls where she is both the endorser.
Before My Little Juan, Izzy first appeared in the romance-comedy Toda Max where he played Robin Padilla’s son. The comedy series allowed Izzy to pit taÂlents as well with Vhong Navarro, Pokwang, and Angel Locsin.
It was Direk Malu Sevilla na siyang namamahala ng Toda Max who obviously thought of having Izzy play the young Coco Martin in Juan dela Cruz when Dreamscape Productions, headed by Deo Endrinal’s business unit, entrusted to her the directorial chore for the series.
Just wonder what will happen to both Izzy and Cha-Cha pagdating ng araw kung magkikita silang muli, isang full-fledged nurse at isang doktor na?
