Kung affected si Richard Gomez sa resulta ng eleksiyon sa Ormoc, Leyte, where he ran for mayor, he didn’t show it when he attended this year’s Guiller­mo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation Awards for Box Office King and Queen, which, by the way, John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo won para sa The Mistress na produced ng Star Cinema.

Richard, on the other hand, together with Dawn Zulueta, was recipient of the award, as the Most Loved Love Team of the decade as proven by the phenomenal success of their comeback team-up in the highly rating series Walang Hanggan.

In her thank you speech, though, Dawn mentioned na magdadalawang dekada na silang magka-love team ni Richard.

Guess what nga pala Richard and Dawn have in common?

Well, they are both married to representatives. Lucy being reelected as congresswoman of the first district of Ormoc and Dawn’s husband Anton Lagdameo, who, for a third term, won again bilang congressman ng isang distrito sa North Davao.

Dawn is currently cast nga pala as Gerald Anderson’s mother in the upcoming series Bukas Kita Mamahalin.

Gerald naiwan si Maja nang rumampa sa Cannes

Speaking of Gerald, ’di naman pala natupad ang balak niya sanang isama ang girlfriend na si Maja Salvador when he attended the Cannes International Film Festival in France where his indie movie OTJ (On the Job) will be shown.

OTJ also stars Piolo Pascual and Joel Torre who also both went to the Cannes filmfest if only to experience walking the red carpet in an international filmfest.

In any case, obvious na ang dahilan kung bakit ’di naisama ni Gerald si Maja ay dahil busy nga ito. Halos araw-araw may taping siya for Ina, Kapatid, Anak, her ongoing series with Janice de Belen,  Ariel Rivera, Cherry Pie Picache, Ronaldo Valdez, and fellow young stars Kim Chiu, Xian Lim, and Enchong Dee.

This year’s Guillermo Mendoza Awards for Box-Office King and Queen was hosted by Maja, together with Alex Gonzaga, Xian, and Enchong.

Cesar nagko-concentrate sa NGO projects

Now it can be told kung ano ang tunay na dahilan why Cesar Montano begged off from doing the upcoming teleserye Muling Buksan ang Puso that will reunite Susan Roces and Amalia Fuentes.

According to someone close to Cesar, as much as possible ay gusto muna niya na magpahinga from his acting job.

Instead daw, he wants to concentrate muna sa pagpapalawak ng kanyang NGO (non-government organization) projects like organizing sports events, tulad daw ng basketball at golf.

Bella may naiwang short film

Bella, whose maiden name is Medina P. Dancel, died of heart attack at 1:30 a.m., May 19.
