Anne magko-concert uli sa Araneta!

Sa presscon ng bagong endorsement ni Anne Curtis, Wrigley’s Double Mint Chewing Gum, biniro siya ng entertainment press invited na kung hindi sana sila nag-break ni Sam Milby, she and her younger sister Jasmine Curtis-Smith would have had something in common.

Sa kasalukuyan, after all, ay nali-link din si Jasmine sa isang Sam —  Sam Concepcion.

By the way, while Anne appears to have moved on since her breakup with Sam (may bago na siyang boyfriend, si Erwan Heussaff, ’di ba?), the actor has yet mapabalitang may ‘‘bago’’ na. Although nag-express siya ng pagkagusto kay Shaina Magdayao.

Until now, though, Sam has to make the move na totohanin ang hangarin niya kay Shaina.

Now in her mid-20s, Anne does not make secret the number of boyfriends she has had so far. Two of them, aside from Sam, are Richard Gutierrez and Oyo Sotto. Si Oyo ay twice pa niyang naging boyfriend kasi after they broke up ay nagkabalikan silang muli.

Surprisingly daw, ’di sila nagkaroon ng relasyon ni Luis Manzano, isa sa closest niyang male friends. Obviously, dahil tuwing wala siyang boyfriend ay taken naman si Luis. And vice versa.

Of course, we all know, kung sino ang one and only ni Luis sa kasalukuyan. At sabi ni Anne, she is happy for Luis and Jennylyn Mercado.

She cannot thank God enough for everything na nangyayari sa kanyang buhay sa kasakuluyan, she said, personal man o professional. It’s as if daw isa siya sa mga puwedeng ituring na tunay na pinagpala.

Enjoy daw siya sa kanyang daily noontime show, It’s Showtime. Nami-miss niya ang pagiging host ng programa, every time kinailangan niya na mag-absent.

Nanghihinayang daw siya na nag-end na kahapon ang kanyang series na Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw which allowed her the chance to work with Robin Padilla and Kris Aquino.

She looks forward daw to doing the movie promised her by Viva Films, The Gift, of course, at nasa calendar daw niya na before the year ends ay muli siyang makapag-perform ng concert sa Smart Araneta.

Meanwhile, let’s all watch Anne’s performance sa mga pelikula niyang ’Wag Kang Lilingon, All About Love, I Love You, Cute ng Ina Mo, and No Other Woman na naka-schedule ipalabas sa Cinema One of SkyCable sa buong month of July.

‘Istorya’ ni Janine hindi na bago

Kapag halimbawang may magandang ending ang kasalukuyang ‘‘kuwento’’ ng pag-ibig ng Miss Universe 1st runner-up na si Janine Tugonon at ang vocalist ng Irish band na The Script na si Danny O’Donaghue, well, it’s as though history has a way of repeating itself.

Many years back, also at the Araneta Coliseum (minus the word Smart pa) Hollywood comedian Jerry Lewis (wonder how many still remember him?) had a singer son named Gary who also performed with his group.

It was while performing that Gary reportedly caught sight of a young Filipina, Jinky Suzara, who was a good dancer.

To make the story short, it was love at first sight for the two. When Gary left, not long after he had Jinky followed him.

They were, we heard, married in Hollywood. Sayang nga lang at wala nang naririnig tungkol sa kung ano na ang nangyari sa kanilang pagsasama ngayon.

In the case of Janine, she admitted that she broke off with her  boyfriend of one year, Jaypee Santos, dahil nga she is said to be attracted to Danny. They are reportedly in touch.

In the case of Janine naman ay nagkakilala sila ni Danny when she attended the ‘‘meet and greet’’ event, which the Araneta Coliseum people orga­nized for Danny’s group, prior to their successful performance.

Now, abangan natin ang mga susunod pang pangyayari sa insidenteng ito na nagpapatunay na ang pag-ibig can happen ’di lang sa isang usual place kung hindi sa isang unusual event din.
